HACCP-Certificate for the Packaging Specialist

Demes Logistics GmbH & Co. KG, the specialised packaging company for container glass and foodstuff logistics, has been awarded the HACCP-certificate from TÜV Rheinlandpfalz Cert GmbH (Technical Supervisory Association Rhineland-Palatinate).

This certification is valid for the Demes Head Office located in Stadtlohn, Germany and comprises the cleaning of plastic layer pads for the container glass industry and foodstuff industry.

According to Demes Managing Director Ulrich H. Holtkamp, further certifications based on the General Principles of Food Hygiene and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points - HACCP will follow for the Demes location in Leeds, England and the Demes Support Base situated near Lyon in France.

Annual turn-over of 30 million pallets and plastic layer pads

Demes Logistics have invested an approximate amount of 2.5 million Euros for a new pallet depot and two environment-friendly and resource-saving washing facilities for plastic layer pads since 2007, in Stadtlohn.

According to Demes, the company is market leader in this area of business showing an annual turning-over of more than 30 million pallets and plastic layer pads which, following careful inspection and cleaning, flow back “just in time” into the logistic circulation.
