Demes Logistics expands pallet range

The pallet service company Demes Logistics GmbH & Co. KG, within the scope of their activities with CargoLine, added EUR-Box Pallets to their assortment. According to Managing Director Ulrich H. Holtkamp, alongside the rental of EUR-Box Pallets Demes also buy and sell new and used EUR-Box-Pallets. Demes has decided to intensify their activities especially in Germany and England, as a consequence of the strong growth of international services “around and about the fervently discussed subject of pallet management”

After investing 1,7 Million Euros for a new depot and washing plant at their location in Stadtlohn, the company has also expanded the existing facilities there by 4,500m². This includes a working hall and offices. Ulrich Holtkamp states that henceforth a total area of 10,000m² including undercover and free land space is available for the storage of pallets. At this moment in time a new washing plant for plastic pallets is being erected in the new hall. Through operating another Mart Washing Machine Demes will double their washing capacity for plastic layer pads reaching 400,000 washes per week.

Holtkamp: “In the next twelve months we will become certified according to ISO 90001, ISO 9001 and HACCP (Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points) thus meeting the standards of washing technology and organisation at the highest of quality and hygienic requirements essential for the foodstuffs industry, pharmaceutical sector and cosmetic area.

According to Ulrich Holtkamp, another 600,000 Euros has also been invested in the extension of the English depot in Leeds. The premises here, have been overhauled in the technical area of hygiene and professionally divided into soiled, cleaning and storage sectors. Through the implementation of a second washing plant in Leeds, the washing capacity of plastic layer pads has also been doubled from 100,000 washes to 200,000 washes a week.
