Demes administrate CargoLine-stocks

Stadtlohn, February 6th 2008 (bk) – The company CargoLine GmbH, which is one of the leading general cargo organisations, have assigned their pallet management to Demes Logistics GmbH & Co.KG. The companies announced this to the public at a pallet symposium in Hannover. According to the managing director Ulrich H. Holtkamp, the pallet service company Demes will, within the scale of the new agreement, provide for a continual administration of stocks at the 45 medium-sized CargoLine Partners within Germany. CargoLine’s managing director Jörn Peter Struck explained in his statement that through the cooperation with the new pallet services the complex pallet exchange system will be simplified and a constant availability of pallets will be assured.

According to Mr Holtkamp from Demes the arising pallet surplus at the system partners, caused through structural unpaired grouped freight transports will, at a stipulated price, be bought, pooled and for a due payment made available to other cooperative partners to the right time, at the right place and in the right quantity. At this moment in time CargoLine-Hub and more than 1,100 direct freight transporters circulate an annual amount of four million pallets. Mr Stuck stated in Hannover that a medium-sized transport company must pay the average annual costs of up to 250,000 Euros for the supply, the maintenance and the handling of pallets.
