Demes profits from market development
Demes Logistics GmbH & Co. KG Stadtlohn accelerate activities taking reaction to the boom in the international logistics industry and the demands for efficient and money saving pallet management deriving hereof. For these reasons, according to managing director Ulrich H. Holtkamp at the Head Office of the European operating company in Stadtlohn, we intend to expand.
It is planned in short term to put another two environmentally friendly washing plants for plastic layer pads and plastic pallets into operation. Necessary increases in capacity can be made in the shortest of time should the glass container and automobile industry demand so. Demes set their focus; parallel to the main line business - the glass container industry – and due to the infrastructure and IT-Systems, on branded companies, distributors, and retailers as future expansion possibilities in the pallet service. Adjacent to the made-to-measure Europallet services, the merchandising of plastic pallets for semi-processed goods at a “Trip-fee-Basis” to producers of the food industry has also been intensified.
The extreme complexity involved in the recovery and administration of Returnable Transport Packaging (RTP) shows that through pallet-management-outsourcing a high potentiality towards reducing costs is given. Even companies with an annual movement of 100,000 pallets experience unnecessarily high expenses for return flow, personnel and administration.
Demes latest recruited customer Schönox GmbH – affiliated to the Dutch Akzo-Nobel-Group and producer of building and refurbishing products - could be convinced of this fact.
