New MD Is Appointed To Lead Demes Expansion In Europe

Demes, which is one of Europe’s leading providers of pool management services, has appointed Ulrich H. Holtkamp to guide it through a programme of strategic expansion in both the UK and Continental Europe. Under his management, Demes is extending its pallet and container management services to a wider range of industries. Already a key supplier to the European glass container industry, Demes is now focusing on major fmcg manufacturers, distributors and retailers. In addition, new products and services for PET and can producers and automotive companies are currently being developed.

Ulrich has come to Demes with a wealth of experience in logistics as well as pallet and container management. At Schoeller Plast Germany he built up IFCO Systems and, as MD, he was responsible for IFCO Logistics. Also as MD, he started up Chep’s operations in Germany and he has held senior management positions with leading German distribution groups such as Rhenus and Haniel.
